Devil's Cameo
Its been years since we talked.
But now, it seems like years have passed.
Coz' each moment I'm with you,
Never fails to bring me into another dimension.
Where time stops. And its only us.
People often say what they don't mean.
It's not because they want to hurt you.
Or lie to you. Or make you wanna cry.
They want to protect you.
They want to to have that hope.
It might breakdown when the truth is unveiled,
but we'll leave the future to be undetermined.
That's why I want you to forget those words.
What they've been telling you.
I know they want to protect you.
But I can't let them hurt us.
I might not have been there physically,
In your moments of darkness.
Even now, I can't be there all the time.
But be ensured that you'll be save.
Coz' each night I pray to God to watch over you.
To make sure all harm is diverted.
If I'm there, I'll take you by the hand,
and lead you by your shoulders.
When the fireworks are up high,
I'll ask... When will you be mine.

It's time I explain.
Well, I've always viewed it as a mission.
Or a task, which I have to complete.
And yours wasn't easy.
I want you to realize that its not just you.
You always thought about what I did,
But you never thought about why I did it.
Why I had to do what I did.
You didn't know that it haunts me.
You didn't know that when you cried,
I shed double the tears.
No one wants to hurt the ones they love.
But I had to.
I wanted you to know what you did was wrong.
I've tried all the obvious clues. But you kept missing it.
So, I had to do the un-imaginable. It shattered both of us.
It's because I'm left with no other choices.
It's because I couldn't take the heat anymore.
It's because you'll wake up to reality.
But thank God you found the light soon after.
It became clear to you, what was wrong.
And you mended your ways I guess.
You've changed in your perception of relationships.
That was good enough for me.
I'll leave the rest and all to you.
Coz' I believe you are mature enough to step in.
I hope you realise I'm no angel.
